Mother Cecilia A. Nauden
First Lady: Southern California 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction
Mother Cecilia A. Nauden is a native of Los Angeles, California. She was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 16. Surrendering to the will of the Lord, she began to labor in various departments of the church. In May 1981, two years after her marriage to then, Elder Charles Nauden, she became the First Lady of The Holy Way Church of God in Christ.
Mother Nauden’s hands are always busy. She worked with the late Supervisor, Mother Elizabeth Nash, serving as her Personal Assistant, on the Hospitality Committee and as the instructor of the Pastors, Elders and Ministers Wives Class. She continued her service under the late Supervisor, Mother Gloria Lynch, as the Assistant Supervisor, the Women’s Convention Coordinator, and a member of the Minister’s Wives Choir. She was also blessed to serve on the late Bishop George McKinney’s General Board Re-election Campaign and chaired the Bishop’s Banquet decoration committee.
Mother Nauden is currently active with the Women’s Department, serving as the Birthday Coordinator for the Pastors, Elders and Ministers Wives and a participant with the jurisdictional prayer lines. For over 20 years, Mother Nauden has hosted her own prayer line, stating that “God is still answering prayer”.
Mother Nauden enjoys teaching with a passion. She helps people realize the power in their lives by seeking God through prayer and fasting. She promotes that God uses ordinary people, as she considers herself ordinary. Others have endorsed wisdom as her signature in ministry, but to God be the glory. She is a certified Mental Health Coach.
But above all her achievements, Mother Cecilia A. Nauden cherishes her role as a mother and grandmother. The harmony she finds in serving
alongside her husband, Bishop Charles Nauden, is a testament to the strength of their family and their shared commitment to the church.
With a ministry spanning over 45 years, Mother Cecilia A. Nauden has tirelessly served in the Lord’s vineyard at every level. Her unwavering dedication to the people of God is a testament to her faithfulness, a quality she believes is always rewarded by the Lord.
In all of the riches of God’s Word, she finds life, light and a resting place in these verses: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you,” and Ephesians 3:20, “Now unto to him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”.
